Bryce Morin as “Danny”

Bryce Morin (Enoch Cree Nation) from Treaty 6, Alberta - is an Actor, Vocalist, Cultural Educator, Traditional Drummer/Singer and Storyteller. Recently Bryce has taken the Theatre World by storm for his performance as “Danny” in the All Star, Indigenous Hit-Musical - BEAR GREASE! Some of Bryce Morin’s theatrical achievements consist of “CIVIL BLOOD: A Treaty Story” (Thou Art Here Theatre) and “IN-COR-RI-GO-BLE: The Legend of Thundervoice” (Blythe Festival, University of Alberta).

Melody McArthur as “Sandy”

Melody McArthur (Big Stone Cree Nation) is a multi-award winning pop-inspired R&B singer, songwriter, and actress from Treaty 8, Alberta. McArthur received the 2022 Indigenous Hip Hop Award for R&B Single of the Year, 2022 Native American Music Award for Best Pop Recording, and the 2022 Indigenous Superstar Awards for Best Pop and Rising Star.

Tammy Rae as “Rezzo”

Tammy Rae Lamouche (Whitefish Lake/Gift Lake Metis) is a Recording Artist and Cultural Educator with a Degree in Education and Native Studies at the University of Alberta. Tammy has recently headlined “Le Grand Ménage des Fêtes!” (TV5 Monde), broadcasted in over 200 countries. Some of Tammys theatrical accomplishments consist of “CIVIL BLOOD: A Treaty Story” (Thou Art Here Theatre) and her dynamic performance as “Rezzo” in the smash hit musical “BEAR GREASE”.

Artson as “Arty”

Artson (Rarámuri/Tarahumara) is a Hip Hop Recording Artist and member of the “Style Elements Crew” and former member of the legendary “Rock Steady Crew” from El Paso, Texas. He is a 2017-2019 Native American Music Award Winner and the 2021 Indigenous Hip Hop Awards Winner for Best Music Video. Artson makes his theatrical debut as the cloud walking, “Arty McFly” in “BEAR GREASE the Musical”.

Teneil Whiskeyjack as “Marty”

Teneil Whiskeyjack (Saddle Lake Cree Nation) is an Award Winning Actress (“DreamKeepers”, “Tribal”) and Performance Artist. Teneil has a degree in Drama/Theatre from Concordia University, was Keynote Speaker at Augusta University mand has recently made her playwrights debut with “Ayita” at the SkirtsAFire Festival.

Rodney McLeod as “Canuckie”

Rodney McLeod (Frog Lake Nation) is an Actor known for his work in “Tin Star” (Prime Video) and “Lost Face” (Short). Rodney is Martial Arts practitioner (Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu) and he makes his theatre debut as the lovable “Canuckie” in “BEAR GREASE the Musical”.

Skylene Gladue as “Jan”

Skylene Gladue aka Nipiy Iskwew (Beaver First Nation) is an Actress (APTN's “Merchants of the Wild”) Fashion Designer (Nipîy Iskwew Designs) Motivational Speaker (Magoo Crew) and Burlesque Dancer (Body Sovereignties, Spotlight Cabaret, Rubaboo Arts Festival). Skylene makes her theatre debut as the ever-deadly “Jan” in “BEAR GREASE the Musical”.

Justin Giehm as “Sonny Boy”

Justin Giehm (Navajo/Dine’) is a New Mexican dancer, model and actor known for his work in “Jamestown” (PBS) and “Ridiculous 6” (Netflix). He became a member of “Dancing Earth” in 2014 which lead to him being casted in “Jamestown” which filmed in Europe, and in “Doctor Atomic” with Director Peter Sellars at the Santa Fe Opera.

Monique Candelaria (Mescalero Apache) from New Mexico, is a 2 Spirited Actor known for her role as Lucy in “Breaking Bad” (AMC), Yahima in “Lovecraft Country” (HBO) and Mom Thunderbird in “Spirit Rangers” (Netflix). Monique captivates audiences with her exceptional range and depth as “Frenchie” in Bear Grease the Musical.

Raven Bright (Navajo/Dine’) is an Indigenous contemporary artist that resides in the occupied Tewa land of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Raven comes to us from “Dancing Earth Creations” under Rulan Tangen and has a background experience of 15 years with the art of Breaking and Hip-Hop culture.

Haley Robinson (Understudy)

Haley Robinson (Muskeg Lake Cree Nation/Filipinx) is a 2-Spirit, Actor, Model, and content creator known for her work on “Only You: An Animation Shorts Collection” (HBO Max) and commercial work for Hyundai (YouTube). Haley speaks openly about their identity, their cultures, and the importance of representation in the media. They grew up loving musical theatre, dance and singing. Their favourite musical is “Wicked”. You can see Haley as the fiery “Rezzo” in the smash hit musical, “Bear Grease”!

Crystle Lightning (Director)

Crystle Lightning (Canadian Screen Award Winner for “Best Actress in a Drama Series” 2021) is an Indigenous Actress from the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta. She began her show business journey at the young age of nine when the Lightning Family moved from Canada to Los Angeles, there Crystle landed her first lead role in the feature: "3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up” and she has been working in the industry ever since.

Henry Andrade (Stage Manager)

Henry Andrade (Huichol/Wixárika) aka Cloud, is an Actor known for his work on “Yellowstone” (Paramount+) and “Hey, Viktor” (Top 10 Canadian Films of 2024), an Amazon #1 BestSelling Author and Illustrator (Indigenous Legends, Moosebumpz), Multi-Award Winning Recording Artist (LightningCloud) and former World Record holder for “Longest Freestyle Rap”. Cloud is also Co Creator/Writer for “Bear Grease the Musical”.

Jeremy Echols (Lighting Technician)

Jeremy Echols aka ILL Wero, is a Recording Artist and Entertainer who has shared the stage with acts such as Tech N9ne and Immortal Technique. Although Jeremy is not Indigenous, he is ever sick on the Light Board, has a cholesterol level that would make Gary Farmer blush and helms a wickedly contagious “Uncle Laugh”. Wero is the newest member of the Bear Grease Crew, please dont scare him!

Melody McArthur

as “Frenchie”

Melody McArthur (Big Stone Cree Nation) is a multi-award winning pop-inspired R&B singer, songwriter, and actress from Treaty 8, Alberta. McArthur received the 2022 Indigenous Hip Hop Award for R&B Single of the Year, 2022 Native American Music Award for Best Pop Recording, and the 2022 Indigenous Superstar Awards for Best Pop and Rising Star. Recently McArthur hit #1 on the National Indigenous Music Countdown for her single “Fires All Over Town”, and has charted over 10 singles on the national syndicated countdown program since 2014. Melody stars as the electrifying “Sandy” in “BEAR GREASE the Musical”.

Teneil Whiskeyjack

as “Marty”

Teneil Whiskeyjack (Saddle Lake Cree Nation) is an Award Winning Actress (“DreamKeepers”, “Tribal”) and Performance Artist. Whiskeyjack is the 2024 Esquao Award recipient of the arts and her latest film “Hey Viktor” has just made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival and has been named Top 10 Canadian Films of 2024. Whiskeyjack plays the rhythmic “Marty” in BEAR GREASE.

Justin Giehm

as “Sonny Boy”

Justin Giehm (Navajo/Dine’) is a New Mexican dancer, model and actor known for his work in “Jamestown” (PBS) and “Ridiculous 6” (Netflix). He became a member of “Dancing Earth” in 2014 which lead to him being casted in “Jamestown” which filmed in Europe, and in “Doctor Atomic” with Director Peter Sellars at the Santa Fe Opera.

Justin has performed in “Between Underground and Sky World” at Presidio and Dance Mission Theatre in San Francisco, CA and the historic  Asolo Theatre in Sarasota, FL. Giehm plays the wisecracking “Sonny Boy” in Bear Grease the Musical.

Raven Bright

as “Roger”

Raven Bright (Navajo/Dine’) is an Indigenous contemporary artist that resides in the occupied Tewa land of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Raven comes to us from “Dancing Earth Creations” under Rulan Tangen and has a background experience of 15 years with the art of Breaking and Hip-Hop culture.

Bright is claimed by the Dibéłizhiní (Black Sheep Clan) of the Diné people. Raven creates connection to land, culture, and its people through the movement he offers. “Every step you take on the dance floor is a deep heart beat of our people. The steps ahead are already imprinted and it’s your destiny to follow and build upon them”. He plays the crazy legged “Roger” in Bear Grease!

Crystle Lightning

(Director)

Crystle Lightning (Canadian Screen Award Winner for “Best Actress in a Drama Series” 2021) is an Indigenous Actress from the Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta. She began her show business journey at the young age of nine when the Lightning Family moved from Canada to Los Angeles, there Crystle landed her first lead role in the feature: “3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up” and she has been working in the industry ever since.

Crystle’s Film and Television appearances include: “Outlander”(Starz), “Trickster”(CW), “The Good Doctor”(ABC), “Ghosts”(CBS), “Three Pines” (Prime TV), “Lawmen: Bass Reeves”(Paramount +). This year you will see Crystle in “Spirit Rangers” (Netflix), George R. R. Martin’s “Mary Margaret Road Grader” (Directed by Steven Paul Judd) and “Fancy Dance” (Directed by Erica Tremblay).

Crystle Lightning is Co-Creator of the all-native, hit musical “BEAR GREASE” (an Indigenous twist to the 1978 Classic, “Grease”) where she also makes her Directorial Debut. Lightning has trained in LA’s oldest and most respected acting school, the Beverly Hills Playhouse under the great Milton Katselas.

Crystle lives in Treaty 6, Alberta with her husband, son and 2 dogs.
